Colacem is very aware that the activities carried out in its productions sites, as well as the services that it supplies, are hugely connected with the outside world.  This awareness has always led the company to undertake all the necessary actions aimed at safeguarding the environment and human health, well beyond the requirements of the standards in force.

The proper management of mining areas, along with the continuous revamping of production sites have been carried out in order to implement the best available techniques (BAT) of the sector.

Hence, the company’s goal is to produce cement as efficiently as possible, by reducing the consumption of fuels and non-renewable natural raw materials. Therefore, preventing and minimizing the impact of its activities on the territory and local communities.

Such a sustainable industrial approach has been ‘formalized’ by the implementation of an Environmental Management System, certified according to the UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 standard, in all of our complete-cycle production sites: tangible evidence of our commitment to continuous improvement.
