Double certification obtained by CAT. The Tunisian company is always at the forefront in the field sustainability .

Cat company has been granted certifications for both its environmental management system , according to ISO 14001 standard and its occupational health and safety management system ,  according to OHSAS 18001 , thus achieving another important goal in the management of its activities , processes and  social and environmental impact as well

Cat, in the person of its Managing Director Mr.  Giuseppe Colaiacovo, signed the Charter for sustainable development of the cement industry in Tunisia in 2007 , and has since then continued to follow its business philosophy which combines research with innovation ,  efficiency with environmentally friendliness , focus on humans resources with occupational health and safety, thanks to the use of innovative and green technologies. .

At the same time , Cat has since long implemented various projects dedicated to the environment, health and safety, as a part of its social responsibility program  , and established internal and external collaborations that in 2012 allowed Cat to be the first Tunisian company enrolled in the United Nations Global Compact.

Cat’s dedication and commitment in the field of sustainability , efficiency and safeguard of the environment, resources and energy savings , will also be extended to its energy management system  aimed at obtaining the ISO 50001 certification.

Achievement of  these important goals was possible thanks to a constant synergy between Cat General Direction , the people  in charge of environment and occupational health and safety management, the plant director and the technical staff.
